Paris Fashion Doll Festival 2014 part 2

by Dutch Fashion Doll World

The Saturday  started with a silence auction. There were some great items. I loved the doll that Artist Creations made.

There was also a sketch from the Robert Best. It was a blind auction because the sketch was from the convention doll and she was still a secret. I hope the organization will publish a picture of the sketch one of these days because they didn’t displayed it after Lunch or at the salesroom on Sunday.

The Barbie Lunch was in the Hotel.

There were several presentations from 20th years PFDF. But the thing I  loved the most where all these amazing dolls that collectors brought to the lunch. Some tables were like a  mini museum.

A fun part of the lunch was the fashion show . My favorite was the real life creation from last year Madrid Fashion Doll Show convention “Premiere Beauty”

Then the moment was there when Robert Best presented the convention doll.

It’s a gorgeous variation on the Fiorella Silkstone.

A redhead in a black dress with green eyes. She is so perfect.

She is the same doll that the convention in Japan had last week. I know that some people have an other opinion but I think it’s great. Now more people that are as madly in love with this girl as me are able to get her 😉

The edition size for Paris is 375 and for Japan 300. Still a very limited edition and I think she will be very popular and a holy grail for many collectors in the future.

There were also some little sneaks showed at the Luncheon. During the presentation they showed a great video from the Dulcissima Barbie Doll and in the French Barbie Collector Spring catalogue that they gave us there is sneak from a Silkstone bride. Can’t wait to see this doll.

Tomorrow I will publish more about the Paris convention. And for the meantime I have many more pictures on my Flickr account from this event.
