Barbie Fashion Icon 2016 for Italian Vogue

by Dutch Fashion Doll World

Today the Italian Vogue gave us a preview of the new designer ooak dolls that were made for the Barbie Fashion Icons 2016 project.

Last week I posted the sketches that they showed on their website and I have to say the dolls turned out great.

Fringes and sequins, crystals and prints on hides and fine fabrics, but also clutches, pumps, shoulder bags, boots, scarves and jewelry: they all feature in the ten unique and glamorous total looks worn by ten dolls for the “Barbie Fashion Icons 2016” project. Each creative director involved has made the most of the characteristics of their chosen Barbie and her physique – original, curvy, petite and tall – interpreting the charm of the world’s most iconic doll with the philosophy and attitude of their own fashion house. These exceptional one-off pieces were modelled for the photo shoot revealed on these pages. The dolls’ next showcase will be at Palazzo Morando in Milan during Fashion Week.

I think the Rochas is my favorite.
