Today Viktor & Rolf presented their Fall 2017 Haute Couture collection in Paris. Viktor & Rolf are known for their over-the-top, avant garde designs but for Fall 2017, the clothes weren’t the only thing standing out on the runway. Today, the French fashion house presented its latest collection at Paris Couture Week with a model lineup of giant life-size dolls that stole the show.
This isn’t the first time that Viktor & Rolf are inspired by dolls. In one of their first collections, the 1999 Haute Couture show they dress one model on stage in many different layers of couture pieces. The concept was inspired by Russian dolls.
And in 2008 they had an exposition were they dressed 55 porcelain dolls in their couture pieces from all their previous collections. This collection of doll was presented in a giant doll house.
